Wow you sandwich fools went crazy over fried bologna... check this piece of meat out....
As one blogger put it "this is the only thing in the last 20 years to give Meg Ryan an orgasm".
Pastrami on Rye
It's a classic! Up there with pizza, steak bombs & wings. Gotta have the perfect meat though, and it's gotta be real rye bread. See my man at The Deli Warehouse for the goods. Make sure you ask about the top of the line American Cheese, just $3.99 a pound. And grab a loaf of Rye Bread for just $2.99! Hint, Hint, its great to eat say... on a Sunday while watching Bronco's get put down!
PHD in Meatology
School is officially underway here in the Capital Region.... and already I'm hearing people talk smack about the bologna sandwich. Not cool! Not cool at all.
The easy joke is the name. Bologna can also be spelled baloney, which is hilarious, I get it.
But try making fun of bologna after eating a fried bologna sandwich. I like mine crisped in a pan and paired with mayo & mustard on rye bread. It's the perfect fall hot sandwich. And right now at The Deli Warehouse you can score a pound of Wunderbar German Deli Bologna for just $3.99! Oh, and Rye Bread is $2.99 a loaf. Try laughing at that haters!
Nothing beats fresh, grilled chicken.
Problem is, after a full work day, the only time I really have to fire up the grill is on the weekend. I've tried every trick to keep my grilled chicken "fresh" in the refridgerator with the same result - by the next morning it's not the same.
That's why I'm a fan of The Deli Warehouse. I can stop in after work, get a pound of FRESH deli turkey for $3.99! Plus the oven roasted meats are prepared IN STORE - wrapped up and ready for you to take home. Stop in this week!
What's the difference between the turkey you buy in the "meats" isle in the supermarket (the kind in the plastic bag - inside the plastic box) and the OVEN ROASTED turkey made FRESH inside The Deli Warehouse?
Hold on... my little guy who can't even talk knows the difference!
Quit fooling yourself with that imitation sandwich meat men! Stop by The Deli Warehouse TODAY and pick up a pound of FRESH oven roasted turkey for $4.99. I dare you to not finish the pound before you get home! Better make that TWO pounds then, one for the car ride home and the other for your sandwich meat.
This is my favorite lunch to serve for guests. It's a recipe from the Barefoot Contessa from the Food Network. Feel free to use any of finest cuts from my favorite place to shop The Deli Warehouse. Where this week you can pick up baked ham for $4.99 a pound. It's easy and awesome. At Casa de Cantara, I suggest a hardy stout to go along with the Ploughman's Lunch.
