Lynyrd Skynyrd's Las Vegas restaurant has fallen on hard times. Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer has filed for Chapter 11 in Sin City -- even after one of the city's newspapers call it the best barbecue joint in town. In a statement, the group blamed "a downturn in the economy" after the restaurant opened and said that "the band and management are very disappointed the venture did not have a positive result." Skynyrd did clarify, however, that it merely licensed its name to the venture and "was not involved in the day-to-day operations of the property." Chapter 11 allows the restaurant to reorganize, however, so it's possible the venture will continue. Skynyrd, meanwhile, continues to tour in support of its latest album, "Last of a Dying Breed."
