Apparently Stephen Stills could no longer bite his tongue on the proposed Buffalo Springfield tour for this year being canceled.
In June, Neil Young said, "I'd be on a tour of my past for the rest of [bleeping] time," when asked why the 30-date tour was scrapped. "I have to be able to move forward. I can't be relegated. I did enough of it for right then."
Stills, who along with Richie Furay are the only other surviving members of the Springfield, says, "It left me in a lurch for three quarters and ruined my financial planning. Also, 150 people got laid off that were supposed to work on the tour." He adds that they didn't do seven shows last year for the hell of it. "We didn't go through all that trouble for seven shows. That's what impetuosity will do for you. You can't go off half-cocked... When Neil is involved you need a seat belt."
