Epic Records chairman/CEO L.A. Reid is bidding adieu to his spot on “The X Factor’s” panel of judges in order to put the focus back on his career, and he’s got a pretty great suggestion on who should take his place.

He recently told Access Hollywood, “You know who I would love to see take it, and by the way I have nothing to do with it, but my choice would be Jon Bon Jovi. That’s who I would pick.”

With the other judges’ seats being filled by executive producer, Simon Cowell, and pop singers Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, the show, which has been struggling in the ratings, could use a little Rock and Roll.

No word from Jon Bon Jovi on whether or not an offer from “The X Factor” would be of interest to him, but his schedule in 2013 may be too busy for him to make his realty TV debut anyway.

Bon Jovi’s latest record What About Now is due out sometime early next year, with a world tour to follow soon after that extends all the way into the end of July.

The album’s first single, “Because We Can” will be released on January 7th.
