The Allman Brothers Band has announced the dates for its annual spring stand at the Beacon Theater in New York City. The group will play 10 shows between March 1-16, starting March 1 and playing two nights on, one night off through the 16th.

Tickets go on sale January 11 exclusively via www.ticketmaster.com and www.beacontheatre.com; any remaining tickets will also go on sale at the box office the following day. In making the announcement, Gregg Allman noted that, "The Beacon run is always magical. The room sounds great, lots of familiar faces and the band really stretches out. After Macon, New York is really our second home. There's just something about it, and our fans know it."

The Allmans began playing at the Beacon in 1989, and its shows there have included quests such as Eric Clapton, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, members of the Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter and others.

The group will return to New York April 12-13 to play at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival at Madison Square Garden, and the group will also headline the Wanee Festival April 19-20 in Live Oak, Florida. Summer shows will be announced later this year.
