Former Led Zepplin frontman, Robert Plant, is getting a new biography courtesy of former Q and Kerrang! editor, Paul Rees.

Comprised of interviews with those closest to Plant, as well as the singer himself, Robert Plant: A Life will be released in October in the U.K. and Canada, and January 2014 (no fair!) in the U.S. It chronicles his folk singing days back in England, his unparalleled success with Led Zeppelin and his Grammy-winning collaboration with Alison Krauss in 2007, The Bookseller reports.

The rights to the biography were bought by HarperCollins’ Natalie Jerome, publishing director at Harper Non-Fiction U.K., and Denis Oswald, senior editor for It Books and HarperCollins U.S.

According to The Bookseller, Jerome said of the biography, “Robert Plant’s stature as one of the greatest frontmen of all time is without question and as fans of his music from Led Zep to present, we have long wanted to publish his story. This book is as close to Plant telling his own story in his own words as we've seen or heard to date.”
