Jon Bon Jovi donated $1 million to the Hurrican Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund during his recent visit "home," Sayreville, New Jersey, on Monday (07/08). During the presentation, Jon said, "My being here is not political. It's emotional because I grew up here. I know that this million dollars sounds like a lot, but it is really just a drop in the bucket and I know there are people still suffering. But what I like to call the power of we coming together -- that means you, me, us -- we are taking a step today to rebuild lives."
So far, the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund has raised $38 million in donations.
We'll get a chance to see the "big giver" in two weeks when Bon Jovi plays SPAC on Monday, July 22nd. You can order tickets, here.
