Jerry Jones' big mouth has motivated Big Blue.

Jerry Jones issued an open invitation to anyone who wanted to come to Cowboys Stadium this Sunday to watch his ’Boys “beat the Giants’ asses.”

The Giants are more than happy to accept.

Needless to say, they’re looking forward to their annual visit to Dallas, where they’re 3-0 all-time in Jones’ $1.2 billion palace. And it’s just a little more special this time around because of what Jones said to a crowd of Cowboys fans at the opening of his team’s training camp back in July.

“Y’all should come to Cowboys Stadium,” he said that day, “and watch us beat the Giants’ asses.”

The Cowboys already did that once, on opening night at the Meadowlands. But this is the game Jones had in mind.

“Yeah, I remember that very well,” Giants receiver Victor Cruz said Monday. “But we’ve still got to play the game. We understand that. We’ll be there.”

The Giants (5-2) are eager to get there, in fact, and play a Cowboys team that spoiled their nationally televised opening night party. The Cowboys (3-3) beat the Giants, 24-17, back on Sept. 5, making the Giants the first defending Super Bowl champions to lose their regular season opener since 1999.

That loss actually may provide the most motivation for the Giants, who safety Antrel Rolle said are “definitely looking for some get-back” after what was easily their worst game of the season. They’ve won five of six since then to take control of the NFC East and believe they’re a completely different team.
