'Tis the season. Yes, I am ready for some football! Nothing gets a guy more fired up that preparing for his Fantasy Football Draft. There's the pre-ranking. Learning about your draft position. Picking out your team name. Most important: the beginning of the smack talk. (I think the smack talk is really why guys get into Fantasy Football in the first place!)

As men, we get to control WHO plays for OUR team. It's a relief when our real life team starts to tank - at least we have a fantasy backup. I really feel for women on this one. Trying to explain the importance of having a bye-week QB to my wife is just as difficult as when she tries to tell me how Bachelor #3 really should be the one the Bachelorette chooses this season.

The only difference here: at least my hobby has become a national phenomenon.
