This is Monday, a 19-year-old Japanese macaque monkey who also suffers from allergies. Some twenty monkeys are suffering the effects of hay fever at this time of the year, with the typical symptoms being the same as with humans. I doubt Monday's car was covered with a yellow neon like dust before the rain came this weekend - but my eyes burn just like Monday's from whatever is floating around in the air.
I know they say it every year, "this will be the WORST year for allergy sufferers," but this year is SO bad (how bad is it?), it's SO BAD you can actually SEE the little pollen particle floating around. The pollen was so think on my car last week that I washed my car Friday afternoon so that I could see out of my windows and mirrors. If you leave anything out overnight, like your porch furniture or a kids bike, take a look at the yellow dust covering it the next morning.
It's a bad year. How are you coping with the "seasonal allergy" suffering? I'm looking for my old SARS mask to get through the week!
