I was surfing through the channel guide, looking for SOMETHING, anything to watch on Sunday night. Have I mentioned how much Summer TV stinks? I miss re-runs.
Halfway through my channel search, a title caught my eye: "Great Expectations." I pulled up the more info to learn it was the 1946 classic on TCM hosted by, of all people, Bill Hader.
I clicked over to TCM and saw this ad promoting the special…
Needless to say, I tuned in. My wife did a double take when she came downstairs around 8:30pm to let the dog out and asked why I was watching a black and white movie. "Great Expectations" was one of those books I kind of remember reading in High School but to see the simplicity of the story in black and white, the legendary actors, all with ZERO commercial interruptions - I'm a fan of Sunday night movie night on TCM!
